The Solar Powered Ecoliving Education Trailer will be available for hire in September 2010. This trailer is a specially designed and constructed display trailer, powered by renewable solar energy. More than this, the Ecoliving Education Trailer is a portable solar power generator also able to provide power to adjacent facilities such as for workshops and public address systems. When combined with other Sustainability Systems & Services mobile solar power units this Trailer is able to provide power to a small music stage whilst providing the additional functions of all of the other units.
The Ecoliving Education Trailer provides an attractive and interactive display covering most aspects of environmentally friendly living and includes multimedia displays and printed materials various objects of interest which will help people to engage and better understand the key concepts.
Educational displays and handout resources are thematically organised, such as sustainable water use including onsite waste water treatment and use; sustainable energy generation and energy efficiency; permaculture design and organic food production from the home; and general sustainable living. Waste education is touched upon, and can be covered in more depth if required, however this area of information is mainly covered with The Worm Trailer.
The Ecoliving Education Trailer comes staffed with a qualified staff member conversant with environmental issues who can discuss sustainability with visitors to the display and answer questions and provide advice for event attendees. Depending upon the nature of the event or function it can be staffed with educators specially selected for specific sustainability/environmental subject matter expertise.
The Ecoliving Education Trailer has awnings to provide weather protection and shade. The Trailer can be set up to provide seating and external shade coverage for a small outdoor workshop of approx 20 -25 people. As a special feature of this is the use of a large built in flat screen LCD TV and public address system – all powered by solar power!
With sufficient notice additional seating for workshop attendees can be provided through the use of special outdoor lounge beanbags, rugs and cushions.
The ability to provide integrated undercover seating to create an instant outdoor workshop space allows for fast set up and pack down and can save event organisers the costs associated with hiring a dedicated workshop marquis. In many instances if larger marquis or hire equipment is not required then the need to have a secure site overnight is negated, again saving money for the client.
Sustainbility Systems & Services also provides all themes of sustainability and environment related workshops & talks which can be delivered in association with The Ecoliving Education Trailer or as a seperate exercise in an indoor or other supplied venue.
If a client has a specific theme they are seeking covered any special display materials can be created for the event and the Trailer can be themed by the Sustainbility Systems & Services Design Team of graphic artists, prop builders, interior and industrial designers. Sustainable house and garden displays can also be designed and constructed by our Landscape Architects and Construction Landscape specialists should you require them.
If it is intended that The Ecoliving Education Trailer also provide power to adjacent structures advanced notice is required so that electrical loads and logistical considerations can be factored in such as the provision of extra power leads and extension poles to get leads up above head height for walkways.
This trailer must be staffed due to the electronic equipment within it and due to its interactive educational nature however if there is another Sustainability Systems & Services Trailer on site this may not need to be individually staffed unless it is a big, busy event.
